Deep Water Discharge

Deep Water Discharge

In September 2011, "Incor Group" realized the project of deepwater discharge at a length of 4000 meters in the Gulf of Odessa. The works were carried out to a depth of 16 meters. The diameter of the pipeline amounted to 2 meters with a wall thickness of 61 mm. The pipes were transported to Ukraine by sea from the factory in Norway in the form of a 400-meter segments, which while being mounted have been combined by bolted fittings to one pipeline. The material of the pipeline and all connectors have absolute resistance to aggressive environment of the Black Sea. The warranty on the material used is 100 years old. Throughput capacity - 400 000 m3 / day.

The advantages of the project are as follows:

- complete cessation of the discharge of untreated sewage into the Black Sea;

- release of treated effluent to guarantee safe distance 4000 meters from the shore at a depth of 16 m;

- significant improvement of sanitary and epidemiological status of the Gulf of Odessa;

- elimination of threats of man-made disasters: breakthrough of the dam Hadzibeevsky estuary; flooding of Peresyp area (27,000 m2) with a population of 30,000 people; coastal inundation of Hadzibeevsky estuary with a population of more than 50 000 people.
